Pelvic Strength

A private, expert-led clinical path to bladder control, pelvic support, and symptom relief. Rebuild structural integrity under the precise, gentle guidance of an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

Core philosophy

Reclaiming Power & Poise

Around four in ten Australian women experience urinary incontinence, and most people living with it are under 65. Prolapse is just as quietly common. These are among the most widespread health conditions in the country, and among the least discussed.

Many women respond by stepping back from movement. The fear of leaking. The heaviness at the end of a long day. The pad worn just in case. It is completely understandable. It is also the opposite of what the evidence supports.

The Pelvic Strength Program is a private, twelve week clinical program for women living with incontinence or prolapse. Your Accredited Exercise Physiologist teaches you to manage your symptoms, rebuild whole-body strength, and return to the activities you love.

"Exercise isn’t something to avoid. It is part of the solution."

Build strength, manage symptoms, and keep doing what you love, at a pace set by your body.

The pathway

Twelve weeks, three phases.

  1. 01 Phase one

    Foundation (Weeks 1–4)

    Assessment, breath & pressure

A comprehensive assessment, then the quiet groundwork of core and pelvic floor coordination. You leave with a take-home program, paced to your baseline rather than a schedule.

  2. 02 Phase two

    Progression (Weeks 5–8)

    Guided progressive load

Foundation movements return, guided by your symptoms. Squats, hip hinges, pushing, pulling and carrying, each progressed by your response and never forced.

  3. 03 Phase three

    Strength (Weeks 9–12)

    Functional adaptation

With control established, training becomes functional strength work, built for the demands of your actual life. Real strength is safely built.

  4. 04 Optional extension

    Return to Impact (5 Weeks)

    Graduated sport integration

For women returning to running, tennis, netball or other impact sport: a structured progression so you go back with confidence rather than crossed fingers.

Every week includes your private session, an individualised take-home program, and validated symptom measures tracked from first week to last. Where it helps you, we coordinate with your GP or pelvic health physiotherapist.

How we work

Five principles behind every session.

  • Assessment first

You are understood before anything is prescribed.

  • Pressure management

Breath, coordination and relaxation come before load.

  • Symptom-guided

Your symptoms set the pace, not the calendar.

  • Individualisation

No two women receive the same program.

  • Load tolerance

Once control is established, real strength is built.

Honesty about scope

What this program is, and what it isn’t.

It is

Careful assessment, education and individualised exercise prescription for prolapse and incontinence, from an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

It is not

A replacement for medical care. We do not perform internal examinations. Where one would help, we say so plainly and work alongside your GP or pelvic health physiotherapist.

Measuring success

Success is more than fewer leaks.

  • Confidence in your own body
  • Lifting capacity you can feel
  • A return to the sport you stepped away from
  • Symptom scores moving the right way
  • Days not planned around bathrooms
  • A quality of life that feels like yours

Rebates

Claimable through Medicare, where eligible.

Incontinence and prolapse are recognised chronic conditions. With a Chronic Condition Management Plan from your GP, your sessions may be partially covered. We can walk you through exactly what to ask for.

How to ask your GP:

Request a Chronic Disease Management Plan (Item 721/723) set up for Accredited Exercise Physiology (Item 10953). Our team can provide a pre-filled recommendation letter for your doctor.

Questions women ask us

Before you book.

Do I need a GP referral to start?

No referral is needed to begin. To claim Medicare rebates you will need a Chronic Condition Management Plan from your GP, and we can guide you through what to ask for.

I have a diagnosed prolapse. Is strength training safe for me?

For most women, appropriately prescribed and progressed exercise is considered safe and is recommended by clinical guidelines. Your program begins with a full assessment and progresses only as your symptoms allow.

Do you perform internal pelvic floor examinations?

No. Internal examinations sit with pelvic health physiotherapists and medical practitioners. If one would help you, we will say so plainly and work alongside the right practitioner.

I feel embarrassed talking about this. What will the first session be like?

A private studio, one Accredited Exercise Physiologist, no shared gym floor. These conversations are our everyday clinical work, and you will never be asked to push through symptoms. Most women tell us the hardest part was booking the first appointment.

Client stories

"From the very beginning, they have taken the time to truly understand not just my physical needs and goals, but also my personal context, which allows them to tailor my training in a way that feels thoughtful, safe, and effective."
